Our Practice

We welcome our new patients to our periodontal specialist practice in the beautiful setting at Bray seafront in Co Wicklow.

Once you have contacted us our staff will assist you during all the following steps:

-The receptionist will ask for some basic information such as your name, contact information, reason for the appointment, and insurance information if applicable.

-We will the ask you to complete the “New patient paperwork”, which includes personal and medical information, dental and periodontal history, and consent forms. This information is important for the periodontist to understand the patient's overall health and any risk factors that may affect their oral health.

-Once the consultation appointment is scheduled you will be meeting Dr Kemmoona and his dental team. At this appointment we will introduce ourselves and ask you about your dental concerns and goals. The Kemmoona will perform an oral exam, take x-rays and/or other diagnostic tests, and evaluate your gum and bone health.

-Based on the findings he will discuss your oral health and concerns. He will develop a personalized treatment plan that may include preventive care, non-surgical or surgical periodontal treatment, and/or dental implant placement.

-The treatment co-ordinator and Dr Kemmoona will discuss the plan with you, including the risks, benefits, and costs of each option.

-Once you have understood and consented to treatment you can schedule any necessary follow-up appointments, such as for a comprehensive exam, periodontal treatment or dental implant surgery.

Overall, the goal of welcoming a new patient to our periodontal practice is to establish a relationship of trust and partnership between the patient and the periodontist, and to develop a customized plan for achieving optimal oral health.
